Yes folks, the rumors are true: The Free Tea Party will be hosting a Free Tea Pavilion at Rootstalk – a festival celebrating plants, people, and planet.
Rootstalk is put on by Mountain Rose Herbs, one of the Free Tea Party’s proud sponsors. Throughout the weekend there is non-stop music, guest speakers, plant walks, and workshops on everything from permaculture to herbal medicine. And I can’t forget the fabulous masquerade ball, crafters’ bazaar, archery, swimming, hiking, and the list goes on! AND, all of the proceeds will benefit Cascadia Wildlands – a non-profit dedicated to protecting threatened wilderness of the Pacific Northwest.
Our job there is what it is everywhere we serve tea – to promote peace, cultivate community, nurture personal and environmental health and encourage slow interactions by serving free tea. The Free Tea Pavilion will include a huge tea tent, a library of books to peruse, cushions and pillows, and demonstrations of alternative water heating techniques.
WHEN: September 22-25, 2011
WHERE: Just outside Salem, OR in the forest!
